Target Audience:

Purpose and Objectives of this Qualification:

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for work, study, and life by equipping them with the essential English language skills required in various contexts. By completing this qualification, learners will be able to read, write, speak, listen and communicate effectively in English. The key objectives of this qualification include:

Assessment:

The Level 2 Functional Skills Qualification in English is assessed through a combination of external assessments and controlled assessments. The external assessments cover reading and writing and are task-based and invigilated. The controlled assessment focuses on speaking, listening, and communicating skills. Once completed, the assessments are sent to for marking by examiners
